This is a smaller version of Limnophila hippuridoides, so we’re temporarily referring to it by that name. The leaf whorls are approximately 5 to 6 centimeters wide, usually with 4 to 7 leaves, mostly 5. Particularly, the shoot tips are light reddish, and the undersides of the leaves show a strong reddish-purple coloration. Insufficient light can cause the leaves to appear lighter green.
